I've devised a plan.

I always feel so.. I can't exactly figure the word to articulate the feeling, but I always feel better after watching a movie with Madea in it. Under the make up, under the facade, Tyler Perry is an incredibly inspiring and amazing man. His words of wisdom that come through the character of Madea are ones that shouldn't be taken lightly. I always feel inspired somehow, or at the very least hopeful and positive about the future or even the outcome of my day. It's easy to feel all hopped up and good about your fellow man while enthralled and captivated by a Madea moment. It's when you walk away and into the real world that the Madea message can quickly be forgotten. I work in academics, not career wise, more like my stepping stone until I get where I wanna be in life. I'm a verbal and emotional bag for people to punch all day, all while I still try to genuinely smile and give them service I know I appreciate having. A smile can go so far to some people, I know I've received kindess on days or in moments where I was anything but pleasant, and it's always been a lasting impact. Therefore, at the very least, instead of snap on them and give what was received, I try and do right. However, after the smile fades, and the day comes to an end, I often really wish I could just YAH TRICK.

Thanks Madea. The smiles back.
